Después de haber conocido en el viaje de navidad tan espectacular isla, decidimos que había que montar un viaje de al menos 4 días para disfrutar mejor de este paraíso XD. Así, el día 25 a las 01:00 AM de la madrugada empezamos los aproximadamente 675 km que separan Brisbane de Rosslyn Bay (donde se coge el ferry). Al final fuimos 11 personas los que nos animamos a hacer el viaje (Albert, Ben, Elena, Jordi, Jose, María, Maximiliano, Montse, Stephan, Victor y yo). Tuvimos que alquilar un coche más (una furgoneta de 8 plazas) a parte del coche de Ben. Los 5 días de la furgoneta KIA con seguro de 11 dolares diarios para accidentes salió por menos de 500 dólares (menos de 300 euros). Tardamos algo más de 6 horas en llegar (las conduje yo XD) y de la emoción se hizo más bien corto. A las 9:30 AM cogimos el ferry, hacía un día cojonudo, pero había una pega...el agua estaba más bien turbia debido a las grandes inundaciones que hubo días antes. Esto es una putada muy grande cuando al menos para mi, el mejor atractivo de las islas de coral es bucear en ellas. Nada más aterrizar en la isla, nos esperaba el dueño del "camping" donde nos quedábamos. Si necesitas algo más de información puedes leer un post sobre esta isla que escribí en diciembre.

Despúes de ir al "camping", el cual recomiendo por su calidad/precio (a 50 metros de la playa principal y por menos de 35 dolares la noche la mejor habitación --> Web Camping) fuimos a pescar y bucear a Passage Rocks. En principio me dijeron que estaba permitido pescar pero la verdad que ya no lo tengo muy claro je. Para asegurarme y evitar una multa de escándalo no lo volveré a hacer en esa parte de la isla. En este lugar puedes ver a no más de 10 metros de profundidad con marea alta, meros y mantas grandecitos, langostas, tortugas e infinidad de peces coralinos.
Esto es Putney Rock. Entre este punto y Middle Island (está a la izquierda de estas rocas y a unos 250 metros) se encuentra Passage Rocks.

Después de más de 3 horas pescando con una visibilidad de no más de 3 metros, corrientes fuertes y no haber dormido XD, salí con lo que se puede ver en la siguiente foto (Un Batfish de 5-6 kg, un mero de 3-4 kg, un borriquete y un pez loro):
Viva la pesca submarina. Con todo este pescado, después de limpiarlo y cocinarlo ,cenamos 11 personas
Cuando baja la marea puedes despertarte en...la playa por ejemplo.
Al día siguiente, sábado, decidimos negociar con el dueño del camping para que nos llevase a el otro lado de la isla por un precio razonable. Al final conseguimos que nos llevase a los 11, el sábado a la cara opuesta de la isla y el domingo a Halfway Island. Al ser tantos tenía que hacer dos viajes en lugar de uno. el precio inicial ran 690 dólares pero el final se quedó en 400 XD. Mereció la pena. El barco nos dejó el sábado por la mañana en SandHill Beach. Desde ahí teníamos que caminar unos 500 metros a través de una duna para llegar a Wreck Beach, donde además de hacer pesca submarina, snorkelling (buceo), etc se puede hacer surf.

Después de haber estado todo el día haciendo pesca submarina, haciendo snorkelling y algunos incluso tratando de hacer surf XD, cenita para 12 personas con todo lo pescado, unas cervecitas y un simpático concierto en el bar de la isla.
El domingo por la mañana, el señor Jeffri (dueño del camping) nos llevo Halfway Island que resultó ser un paraíso. Allí pasamos todo el día en una de la mejores playas que puedes encontrar en este archipiélago. Por cierto, es posible acampar en esta pequeña isla. Algunas imágenes de la playa principal:

Disparo por error a un pez globo...vi una cabeza relativamente grande en una cueva y no resultó ser lo que pensaba.
Esta es la pesca de Halfway Island. 10 piezas, entre 15 y 20 kilos de pescado. Paré basicamente de coger más porque ya me hundía con todo el pescado en el cinturón je.

El último día fuimos caminando a Long Beach y Monkey Beach. Son dos preciosas playas de aguas cristalinas y coral. La mejor playa para ver tortugas y mantas es Monkey Beach que es donde está el arrecife. Está protegido así que no es posible hacer pesca submarina XD.
